Removal of old rubber
Remove the old rubber around the screen door using a removal driver (Be careful not to injure your hands )

Removal of old net
Then remove the old net from the aluminum frame.

Cleaning of a sash slot

Clean the rebate around the screen door with an old toothbrush and wipe the aluminum frame with an old towel so that the following operations can be carried out in a clean environment.

Temporary fix

After cleaning the aluminum sash finishes, it is time to fit the new net! Cut a piece of net slightly larger than the aluminum frame, and place it on the aluminum frame. Fix four corners of the net with clips so that the meshes and the aluminum frame are parallel.

NOTE!
As long as the new NBC net is properly stretched and fixed parallel to the aluminum frame then the next stage is simple!

New rubber

The net is stretched using an NBC rubber and roller. The rubber is pushed by about 3cms into the corner of aluminum frame about 3cm using the sharpened side of the roller.

NOTE!
Please be sure to WORK IN A CLOCKWISE DIRECTION to the aluminum frame so that your left hand can be used for any adjustment.

Inserting the rubber

Next push the rubber approximately 3cms into the rebate using the roller.

NOTE!
Lay the rubber parallel to the slot before insertion to make this operation easier. Please make sure that the mesh is stretched taught.

Adjustment in the corner

For corners, use the sharpened opposite side of the roller in order to push the rubber into the corner of the frame. Once the rubber is correctly inserted into all four sides of the frame, cut off any excess rubber carefully with scissors.

NOTE!
If the mesh is still slack at this stage it is not necessary to remove all the rubber and start all over again!

Adjustment-1

If the net is still not taught after the rubber is pushed in, pull the net upwards. For example if there is 5cms of slack material then pull the net upwards about 10-15cm.)

Adjustment-2

After the net is pulled upwards, pull the net toward the outside of the frame with your left hand. Once the slack has gone, push the rubber back into the frame again with the roller.

Net Cut

Make sure that all of the net is tight . The last stage to cut off the excess net. Be careful not to damage the stretched net with the cutter at this point. Lean the edge of cutting blade towards the inside of the frame, and place the edge on the outside of the slot where the rubber is inserted. Whilst pulling the net with your left hand gently pull the cutting blade along the mesh paying special attention to the corners.

Completion!

Take a look! A beautiful and bright screen door is now completed. Show the results to your neighbours!!
