Technical Overview

Cufitec® is an anti-viral and anti-bacterial technology that utilizes nanoparticles of a monovalent copper compound.
It can be processed for use in a variety of materials, and used in wide range of applications.
It can add new anti-viral and anti-bacterial value to your company’s products.

Application to matrix

(1) Fiber matrix(SEK mark certification acquired)

Monovalent copper compound nanoparticles are fixed to a fiber matrix.

Virus elimination
A suspension of non-enveloped virus was dropped onto a rayon non-woven fabric treated with Cufitec®, and the plaque assay method was used to evaluate virus viral titer at each contact time.

The certificate mark for functional finished textile products (SEK mark) can be added to products which utilize a technology for applying monovalent copper compound nanoparticles to a fiber matrix.
Certification is conducted by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council based on ensuring safety and delivering reliable performance.

A fiber matrix or film matrix is coated with monovalent copper compound nanoparticles.

<Virus and bacteria elimination performance>
Test method
An alcohol disinfectant containing Cufitec® was mixed with a suspension of non-envelope virus or gram-negative bacteria, and the virus viral titer or bacteria count was evaluated after 1 minute.

<Long-lasting effects>
Test method
An alcohol disinfectant containing Cufitec® was applied to a stainless steel plate and allowed to fully dry, then based on the JIS Z 2801 film adhering method, a suspension of non-envelope virus or gram-negative bacteria was dropped onto the surface and the virus viral titer after 30 minutes or bacteria count after 60 minutes was evaluated.
