The amount of sieve blinding on Nafitec® Sieve Mesh is much lower than on the untreated sieve mesh. This saves maintenance and cleaning time. Additionally, the powder throughput of Nafitec® Sieve Mesh is about 1.25 times that of the untreated sieve mesh.

Nafitec® Sieve Mesh features NBC Meshtec’s proprietary ‘‘Nafitec®’’ technology, developed to affix functional inorganic nanoparticles to a variety of materials. When this Nafitec® treatment is applied to sieve mesh, it makes the mesh surface very difficult for powder to adhere to.

As a result, the powder passes through the sieve mesh instead of blinding it, reducing cleaning time and improving productivity. This also reduces labor costs associated with cleaning and replacing sieve screens, driving production costs down even further. Additionally, with improved productivity, powders that would have required the purchase of additional or larger sieving machines to meet production targets can be processed with existing, smaller scale machines, saving the cost of upgrading.
