Photocatalytic deodorizing filters
What is a photocatalyst?
Photocatalysts are effective when light strikes their surface, oxidizing and decomposing harmful and odor-producing substances. They demonstrate deodorizing and antibacterial effects, thus purifying the air. Although their oxidizing power is stronger than that of ozone, they are safe and do not harm the human body. In addition, they can be used over and over again because they self-regenerate due to light. Another feature is that they can be used semi-permanently, as their effectiveness can be sustained with simple maintenance.
Photocatalytic deodorizing filters
NBC Meshtec's proprietary Nafitec® technology was applied to develop a deodorizing filter with a photocatalyst supported on a metal material.
Its properties include higher deodorizing efficiency, lower pressure drop, higher strength, and lighter weight compared to conventional products.

Features
- By supporting a photocatalyst on a carrier with a three-dimensional structure through our proprietary Nafitec® process, we have achieved both high deodorizing efficiency and low pressure drop. This saves energy and reduces CO2 emissions.
- The use of metal materials for the carrier has realized higher strength and lighter weight compared to ceramic materials.

Application scenes
For cooking odors, animal odors, tobacco odors, construction material odors, etc.
Development and Testing Examples
We are developing various new materials that provide new value by utilizing our core technologies.
