Mesh cloths for screen printing
Screen Printing Basics
screen-printing-applicationsWhat is mesh?
Mesh is a type of woven fabric in which the warp and weft threads intersect.
Materials include synthetic fibers (polyester, nylon, etc.) and metallic wires (stainless steel, tungsten, etc.).
Difference between woven and knitted fabrics
Woven fabric(Mesh cloth)
A fabric made by combining threads from two directions (warp and weft)* and crossing them vertically and horizontally in three dimensions.
It is used in a wide range of applications because of its strength and variety of thread types, materials, structures, and processing methods.
Application examples: Sieve mesh, collared shirts, canvas, tapestries, etc.
*In some cases, there are multi-axis woven fabrics with three or more directions.

Knitted fabric
A fabric made by making a series of loops using threads in either one direction (warp or weft).
There are two main types: warp knitting and weft knitting. They are widely used, especially for apparel applications, because of their soft texture, elasticity, and warmth retention properties.
Application examples: Socks, stockings, T-shirts, etc.
